I was recently operated upon by Dr Gangesh Gunjan & team at Sarvodaya Hospital, Greater Noida West. I developed surgical site infection after a lumbar microdiscectomy surgery three weeks back in a reputed Noida hospital. He diagnosed the condition quickly and did a revision lumbar spine surgery with pus removal and sanitization of the involved area. Today after a week, I'm back home, having regained full ability to walk without any support. I am an Anesthesiologist in the same hospital, which may be construed as a potential conflict of interest, but that should not prevent me from telling my story. I was diagnosed with spinal tuberculosis on 8th December 2025 and was on TB medication for some time. As my condition progressed, I was advised to consult Dr. Gangesh at Sarvodaya Hospital, Greater Noida (Gaur City 2). After carefully reviewing my MRI reports, Dr. Gangesh immediately explained the seriousness of my condition and clearly laid out two options strict bed rest or surgery, depending on how my body responded. At that time, I chose bed rest along with medication. Unfortunately, despite almost two months of complete rest and treatment, my condition worsened. The pus increased, I developed severe numbness, and I eventually lost movement in my legs. In a very critical state, I rushed back to Dr. Gangesh. From that moment onwards, everything moved swiftly and with absolute precision. I was admitted on the 5th, and he ensured that my surgery was performed the very next day. His prompt decision-making, confidence, and expertise truly saved me. Dr. Gangesh is not only exceptionally skilled but also extremely kind, humble, and reassuring. When I had almost lost all hope, he became my only hope and he delivered beyond expectations. Before the surgery, I was unable to even sit for nearly two months. After the surgery, he gave me the courage, confidence, and belief that recovery was possible. Today, I am able to sit, and I am gradually learning to stand and walk again under his guidance. His encouragement, positivity, and constant support have played a huge role in my recovery. Dr. Gangesh and his entire team have done an outstanding job, and I will forever be grateful to them. I would highly recommend Dr. Gangesh to anyone suffering from spinal TB or any neurological condition. He truly knows his work and performs it with excellence, compassion, and dedication. I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how amazing he is.

A Doctor who truly cared... Today, I want to share a story highlighting an important issue—how symptoms in elderly individuals often go overlooked or neglected. My mother, who is 71 years old, had a fall in early December. Despite persistent pain, her fracture at the T12 vertebra was not diagnosed until the last week of February—nearly three months later. Initially, we chose conservative treatment, hoping complete bed rest would lead to improvement. I’m 19 year old and have been suffering from back problems since 2 years. The hospital i was referring from before was very lazy and weren’t serious enough with their treatment. I got spinal Tuberculosis and it worsened till the point that i wasn’t allowed to physically move or my spine could break. With much consideration i shifted to Sarvoday hospital and got admitted under doctor Gangesh Gunjan. First, all the necessary checkups were done quickly and swiftly and then the doctor was so clear with what options i further had. It was either 6 months complete bed rest (even bowel movements on bed) or spinal fusion surgery of L3, L4 spine. It was a big decision to take, a big surgery in such young years, but i still opted for it as i was in too much mental and physical pain. And i tell you how gentle and caring the doctor was. I never met such a graceful person dealing with patient and it’s family’s extreme emotions so gently. I didn’t even feel scared even for a second during surgery. Now I’m able to walk normally again. My 72-year-old father, who had no prior health concerns, suddenly lost consciousness and fell on March 30, 2025. In a state of worry and uncertainty, our family rushed him to Sarvodaya Hospital, Greater Noida West. With so many questions racing through our minds, we were referred to Dr. Gangesh Gunjan, a senior neurosurgeon, for further consultation. After a thorough examination, my father was diagnosed with Cerebral Venous Thrombosis (CVT), accompanied by a traumatic brain injury, subdural hematoma (SDH), and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Simply put, he had suffered a stroke due to a blocked vein in his brain, leading to both clot formation and internal bleeding. The injury also caused blood to accumulate between the brain and its outer protective layer, as well as between the brain and the meninges. Understanding the urgency of the situation, Dr. Gangesh swiftly diagnosed the problem and performed a complex six-hour surgery on the second day itself. My father remained in the ICU for nearly two months, including two weeks of home care. On follow-up, he developed hydrocephalus with seizures, for which he was planned for VP shunt surgery but due to high protein content and suspected meningitis in CSF, his CSF was continuously drained through the reservoir placed during the initial surgery. Once CSF picture improved, VP Shunt surgery was done, with gradual improvement in my father’s condition. The severity of my father’s condition cannot be overstated, yet today, he is able to express himself—though he still cannot speak due to a tracheostomy. This miraculous recovery is entirely due to Dr. Gangesh’s expertise, dedication, and professionalism. He never hesitated to address our concerns, was always available for guidance, and treated us with compassion and empathy. A truly genuine and kind-hearted doctor, he not only healed my father but supported our family every step of the way. I would highly recommend him to others who may need expert neurosurgical care.
